Responsibilities
  • Assist Spanish-speaking patients with inquiries and appointments
  • Answer inbound calls and respond to patient queries in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notification
  • Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
  • Provide and handle eligibility, benefits of coverage, claims, and prior authorization
  • Provide bilingual support and assistance to patients throughout their healthcare journey
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments accurately
  • Follow up with patients regarding payment and insurance matters
  • Maintain patient records and confidentiality

Requirements

  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (verbal and written)
  • At least 2 years in a high-intensity, fast-paced environment as a Spanish Bilingual Patient Service Representative.
  • Heavy calls (inbound and outbound) experience
  • Proficiency certificate in Spanish
  • Has experience in scheduling appointments
  • Proven work experience as a Patient Service Representative or similar role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and insurance processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Amenable to work in a graveyard shift (at any US time zone)
  • Experience in ModMed (Modern Medicine) is a bonus

Schedule: 8 hours Monday - Friday; Days off - Saturday and Sunday

Time zone: MST
