About the roleAs the Supply Chain Lead, GBS Service Delivery, you will lead a dynamic team across diverse disciplines such as Procurement, Tactical Sourcing, Planning, Distribution, and Master Data. Your role will be pivotal in executing and implementing strategic plans, ensuring they align seamlessly with business requirements and group standards.
Key responsibilities include achieving GBS Supply Chain team objectives, serving as a crucial liaison with other support functions, and optimizing functional capabilities. Additionally, you will support Supply Chain Leadership to ensure that all initiatives are in harmony with GBS requirements and group strategy. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive excellence and innovation within the supply chain domain.
What you will be doing - Delivery of Supply Chain GBS teams' scope against key metrics and drivers.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, mentor to encourage drive toward best practice and ensuring full compliance.
- Ensures compliance with Orica's Group Standards and policies.
- Working with Supply Chain GBS teams, internal and external stakeholders in the identification and resolution of potential issues or discrepancies related to transactional activities and escalating where necessary.
- Coordinate input and analysis of Supply Chain GBS cross-functional initiatives as well as other Continuous Improvement activities affecting processes and procedures. As required, work with Supply Chain Leadership to monitor progress of initiatives and activities.
- Identify improvement initiatives. Own and develop action plans for implementation as required.
What you will bring - Minimum of 10 years' experience within Manufacturing, Mining, Oil & Gas, Industrial, or other relevant organisations.
- Relevant experience working within complex, multinational matrix environments.
- Degree qualified. Procurement/Supply Chain/Logistics Management or Commercial Management - desirable.
- Experience using S4 HANA supply chain transactions for analytical and reporting purposes, including TT and PP Modules.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel for analytical and modelling purposes highly regarded.
- Previous leadership experience and strong analytical skills with business acumen are highly desirable.
- Feels comfortable working with a degree of autonomy in remote team structures.
- Experience in relationship and stakeholder management, as well as strategy development and implementation.
- Strong problem-solving and relationship skills.
- Strong negotiation skills with a customer service focus, along with well-developed planning and organizational abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish, with proficiency in Portuguese being desirable.
- Willing to work on a mid-shift schedule.
