About the Opportunity
We're looking for a commercial operator and community builder to lead retail-focused partnerships, local initiatives, and ecosystem engagement in Spain. You'll play a key role in establishing Bitvavo's brand presence and community connections in one of Europe's most active retail markets.
You're confident building relationships across crypto-native, fintech, and academic spaces. You understand Spanish investor behavior, market dynamics, and competitive trends. You work cross-functionally to align product, messaging, and marketing with Spanish-speaking audiences, combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution from Spain or our Amsterdam HQ.

What You'll Be Doing
- Local market strategy and execution: Translate Bitvavo's growth objectives into a tailored approach for Spain, focused on brand visibility, trust, and community reach.
- Conference, event, and sponsorship activation: Strengthen Bitvavo's presence at Spanish crypto events, TradFi forums, and university-led initiatives. Evaluate and activate sponsorships that support awareness, credibility, and network growth.
- Ecosystem engagement: Partner with crypto clubs, DAOs, and student communities to build trust and visibility. Organise and sponsor hackathons, side-events, and educational events to embed Bitvavo in the Spanish crypto scene.
- Support affiliate and content initiatives: Support Spanish-speaking affiliate and content partnerships in coordination with the affiliate team. Help identify new publishers or creators and contribute to campaign execution.
- Minimum of 3 years in business development, partnerships, or community roles within crypto, fintech, or regulated B2C sectors in Spain.
- Experience with local partners, events, or ecosystem activations is a plus.
- Strong communication and great relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to drive initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and align stakeholders across teams.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Deep understanding of the Spanish retail investor landscape, including crypto culture, fintech players, and regional media.
- Familiarity with affiliate, content, or creator partnerships is a plus.
