About the role

Fanalysis is looking for a Spanish Language Community & Moderation Specialist to help support and scale a safe, high-quality fan experience for Spanish-speaking users, with a particular focus on La Liga and the wider Spanish football community.

This role sits at the intersection of content moderation, community insight, and AI quality improvement. You will help review and action Spanish-language content, improve moderation accuracy, support Spanish-language prompt development, and ensure our approach reflects the language, culture, and behaviour of real football fans.

What you'll do

• Moderate Spanish-language text and image content across the Fanalysis platform, ensuring decisions are accurate, consistent, and aligned with internal policy and community standards.
• Review content from the Spanish market, with a strong focus on La Liga, football fan behaviour, and culturally relevant context.
• Conduct false positive and false negative analysis to identify moderation gaps, improve enforcement quality, and support continuous improvement of moderation systems.
• Support the development, translation, testing, and refinement of Spanish-language AI moderation prompts, ensuring they are accurate, localised, and effective in football-specific contexts.
• Maintain and improve Spanish blocklists and flaglists, keeping them up to date with offensive language, abusive slang, football terminology, coded language, and emerging cultural trends across Spanish dialects.
• Act as an internal voice for the Spanish-speaking user base, surfacing community feedback, language patterns, and cultural context to help inform moderation, product, and community decisions.
• Engage authentically with the Spanish-speaking fan community where appropriate, helping reinforce community standards and encourage constructive discussion in a culturally credible way.
• Help identify trends, edge cases, and policy gaps in Spanish-language moderation, and work with internal teams to improve processes and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Fluent Spanish speaker with excellent written comprehension and a strong understanding of regional dialects, slang, tone, and cultural nuance.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience in content moderation, Trust & Safety, community operations, QA, policy enforcement, or a similar field.
• Strong understanding of online abuse patterns, user-generated content risks, and the challenges of moderating content at scale.
• Ability to apply policy consistently while recognising context, humour, sarcasm, rivalry, and football banter.
• Comfortable working with moderation data and using case analysis to support quality improvements.
• High attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to make consistent moderation decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep familiarity with online football culture, particularly La Liga and Spanish-speaking fan communities, and a clear understanding of how football supporters communicate online.

Preferred Experience

• Experience moderating sports, social, or community-led platforms.
• Experience working with AI-assisted moderation systems, prompt tuning, or policy calibration.
• Familiarity with false positive and false negative analysis, QA workflows, or moderation reporting.
• Strong awareness of how abusive or harmful language can show up in football-specific slang, memes, coded language, and rivalry-driven conversations.
• Personal passion for Spanish football and La Liga, with a genuine understanding of what matters to supporters and how fan communities behave online.
