Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

• Bank statements;
• Incoming invoices;
• Outgoing invoices;
• Accruals and provisions;
• Maintain interest calculation schedules;
• Maintain amortisation / depreciation schedules if applicable;
• Perform month-end reconciliations;
• Review of accruals and provisions;
• Perform Intercompany reconciliations and advise administration department on intercompany settlements where applicable;
• Prepare financial statements.

Administration & General

• Responsible for the review, filing and follow up of information provided by property managers;
• Responsible for preparation of monthly cash flows;
• Responsible for preparation of the monthly management reports;
• Responsible for information packages for lending banks if any;
• Responsible for preparation of financial information/analysis as required;
• Manage ad hoc correspondence.

Assistance year end reporting process / audit process

• Responsible for annual US tax reporting packages;
• Responsible for annual accounts;
• Responsible for consolidation process;
• Liaise with external auditors;
• Responsible for ad hoc reports / reconciliations for external/internal parties.

Management

• Being the main contact point for 2 direct reports;
• Being responsible for training and development of direct reports.

Qualifications

What You Bring To The Role

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
• At least 8+ years accounting/finance experience with a major accounting framework (IFRS, LUX/US GAAP);
• At least 2+ years in a manager position;
• Solid understanding of main real estate and investment management metrics;
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow dynamics, and fluency in general accounting principles and rules;
• Fluent in Spanish and English (verbally and in writing) - any other language could be an advantage;
• Ability to thrive in a growth environment, adapt to changing circumstances and work autonomously;
• Excellent organizational and project management skills;
• Able to prioritise on a daily basis and managing several competing deadlines;
• Able to define and manage Team workload according to Team Lead objectives;
• Able to take initiatives and to propose solutions and ways to improve processes;
• An analytical, creative thinker who can focus on the details without losing sight of the big picture.
