Language Tutor in Spanish

Part-Time, Fixed-Term (10 months)
Applications are invited for the post of Language Tutor in Spanish in the Department of English and Modern Languages.
The role-holder will teach on a range of advanced Spanish language modules (B1-C2) in undergraduate degree programme courses in Modern Languages. You will join a team of engaged language tutors as part of an academic community dedicated to enabling access to high quality language learning. Our Language Tutors are well-supported by our expert and experienced Language Tutor Coordinator.
The appointee will be expected to have a proven record of excellence in teaching Spanish, or, in the case of early-career candidates, relevant experience and demonstrable potential. The appointee will be expected to play a full and active role in teaching in the Modern Languages section of the Department of English and Modern Languages. They will be required to teach on and examine undergraduate modules in Spanish language at all levels, to contribute to administrative duties and to attend relevant meetings and committees as required. They will work closely with the Modern Languages Course Lead in areas including curriculum design, lesson planning, and the development and implementation of learning technologies. The role holder is expected to engage with developments in the discipline to ensure that they remain up to date with best practice.
