Regional Member Support - Iberia

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join IPAF as our Regional Member Support - Iberia, with primary responsibility for Portugal and supporting our activities in Spain.

You will be home-based in Portugal and report into the Iberia and LATAM Regional Manager.

This position will be offered on a freelance contract for 18 days per month, with flexibility to organise your working days and workload effectively.

As the Regional Member Support - Iberia, you will promote safety in work at height and the use of powered access and act as IPAF's main point of contact in Portugal, managing relationships with our existing members and Training Centres as well as helping to develop our membership and training network in the country.

You will also provide member and Training Centre support in Spain, working in coordination with and under the direction of the Iberia and LATAM Regional Manager.

In this role, you will have a high level of autonomy and flexibility to manage your workload and diary to work most effectively for IPAF and its members.

Key responsibilities include:

• Management of institutional relations and contacts in Portugal
• Build relationships with members, Training Centres and other stakeholders
• Visits to members, Training Centres and other stakeholders
• Recruitment of new members and new Training Centres in Portugal Organisation of commercial and promotional activities, such as exhibitions, seminars and events
• Promotion of safety in work at height and the use of powered access, including MEWPs, MCWPs and construction hoists
• Representation of IPAF at conferences, congresses and relevant industry meetings
• Participation in technical committees and industry working groups where appropriate
• Promotion of IPAF training courses within the powered access industry and relevant end-user sectors
• Support of marketing activities in collaboration with IPAF's marketing department
• Monitoring of relevant market, industry and regulatory developments in Portugal
• Support of IPAF members and Training Centres in Spain, in coordination with the Iberia and LATAM Regional Manager
• Support with member communications, enquiries, visits, events and regional activities in Spain
• Liaison with other IPAF departments to ensure members and Training Centres receive appropriate support

Requirements:

• Must be based in Portugal and able to work from home
• Some previous professional experience would be beneficial, but extensive experience is not required
• Experience or knowledge of the Health & Safety sector would be particularly valued
• Experience in machinery, training, construction or powered access would also be an advantage

• Confidence in communicating with members, Training Centres and external stakeholders

• Availability to travel regularly within Portugal and Spain, and internationally when required
• Full driving licence
• Languages: Portuguese native, Spanish C1 minimum and a good working knowledge of English (B2)

In return for your work, we will offer a freelance contract for 18 days per month with a competitive daily rate, together with the flexibility of a home-based role and the opportunity to develop within an international organisation.

All agreed business expenses, including telephone, internet and travel expenses, will be reimbursed in accordance with IPAF policy.
