Senior Java Full Stack Developer (Spanish Speaker)

What success looks like in this role:

At Unisys, we are looking for a Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join a long-term international project within the Spanish Aerospace & Aviation industry.

You will become part of a highly collaborative engineering team, contributing to the design, development and evolution of modern enterprise applications that support mission-critical operations.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with modern Java technologies, cloud environments and microservices architecture while collaborating with international teams in an agile environment.

What success looks like in this role

As a Senior Java Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and solution design to implementation, testing and continuous improvement.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Design, develop and maintain enterprise web applications using Java and Angular.
• Analyze functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Participate in application architecture and software design activities.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable and secure code following best practices.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile (Scrum) methodologies.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support CI/CD practices and DevOps processes.
• Ensure software quality through automated testing and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Required Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Strong experience designing and developing Java web applications.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Java and the Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Boot).
• Experience with Angular 19 or later.
• Hibernate, JPA and Criteria API.
• Java 21.
• Microservices architecture and OpenAPI.
• Gradle and Maven.
• SwaggerHub.
• Lombok.
• Docker.
• MongoDB.
• Microsoft Azure.
• Continuous Integration tools including Git (Git Flow), SonarQube, Jenkins and Nexus.
• Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• JUnit 5 and Mockito.
• UML.
• Oracle Database 19.
• Oracle WebLogic Server 12.
• JMeter.
• SoapUI.
• Development using IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse or Visual Studio Code.

It would be great if you also have

• Experience working within Scrum teams.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
• Spanish language proficiency (mandatory for collaboration with the project team).
