Spanish Linguist - CAT III - TOP SECRET - Guantanamo, Cuba

We are recruiting for an upcoming opportunity and seeking candidates who will be available upon award.

We are seeking qualified CAT III Spanish linguists for interpretation and translation support on US Naval Station, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (GTMO).

Requirements

• All candidates must have an active DOD security clearance, at a minimum TOP SECRET clearance.
• All candidates must have a valid U.S. Government Counterintelligence (CI) screening within 12 months or willing to attend a CI screen as required by the contract.

• Interpretation and translation Proficiency in Spanish to/from English
• Speaking, listening, reading comprehension ILR must meet 3 minimum in Spanish and 3 in English
• Demonstrated ability to conduct accurate translation, transcription, and interpretation
• Must have typing and computer skills
• Ability to think quickly and work in a professional atmosphere as part of a team
• Ability to understand the essentials of all speech in a standard dialect and have broad vocabulary to rarely require assistance for paraphrasing or explanation
• Ability to follow accurately the essentials of conversations between native speakers
• Ability to understand radio broadcasts, news stories like wire service reports, oral reports, some oral technical reports, and public addresses on non-technical subjects
• Due to the location of assignment, must meet medical and dental screening requirements as well as immunizations up to date
