About The Role

This role is suitable for experienced teachers, ECTs and those currently training to teach. We offer salaries on the Inner London pay scale.

We are seeking an inspirational Spanish teacher to join our dynamic and successful department. Ealing Fields is an academically ambitious school with a strong sense of community. Our department is committed to innovating, developing, and sharing best practice in language teaching to ensure that students of all backgrounds and abilities can succeed and enjoy learning Spanish. Teachers work collaboratively within the department and across the Trust, supported by a well-developed curriculum, high-quality lesson resources, and a robust assessment structure. These elements are designed to support teachers in delivering consistently outstanding lessons, while also providing space for them to develop their practice and innovate.

The core purpose of this role is to secure outstanding progress in all classes taught while also delivering excellent pastoral care-both in Spanish lessons and through the pastoral curriculum as a form tutor. Our teachers are deeply involved in school life and work together to promote the school's ethos and vision, for example through active participation in the house system and wider learning opportunities beyond the classroom.

Ealing Fields is easily accessible by public transport, with the Piccadilly line just a short walk away and regular buses to Ealing Broadway, which is served by the Central, District, and Elizabeth lines.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good degree and Qualified Teacher Status
  • The ability to teach Spanish to at least Key Stage 4
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements
  • Awareness of recent developments in curriculum design and teaching and learning
  • A clear understanding of strategies to motivate and engage all students across the ability range, supporting a whole-school approach to closing achievement gaps
  • Knowledge of effective methods for assessing, recording, and reporting students' learning and progress
  • A reflective mindset and a strong drive for continuous self-improvement
  • A commitment to the ethos, values, and wider mission of the school

About the school

Ealing Fields High School is consulting on its Admissions policy for entry into Year 7 in September 2026 to include 'Children of Staff' places. If, as we expect, the proposal is approved, the admissions policy will include the following criterion: 'Children of all staff' where the member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made or where the member of staff has been recruited to a post where there is a demonstrable skill shortage.

Ealing Fields High School Ealing Fields High School was opened as a Free School in 2016 and became part of the Twyford CE Academies Trust on 1st September 2017. Ealing Fields is the smallest of the Trust schools, with only 150 in each Year Group and therefore often feels more like a family than a school. The staff community is very positive, highly motivated and fully engaged in professional development. The school moved to its brand-new permanent site in Northfields in September 2020 and achieved a Progress 8 score of +1.34 in 2022 and 2023 and +1.3 in 2024. Twyford CE Academies Trust

The Twyford Church of England Academies Trust (TCEAT) is a Multi Academy Trust which comprises four secondary schools in the London Borough of Ealing. The Trust was established in October 2011 to enable our heavily oversubscribed existing school, Twyford CE High School, to build on its successes and look outward to the large number of parents who were eager to become part of its community. Over a 10-year period it launched three new schools Ealing Fields, William Perkin and Ada Lovelace all of which have achieved progress outcomes ranking them in the top 1% of schools nationally, making TCEAT the highest performing Trust in the UK including the progress made by disadvantaged students. TCEAT aims to deliver outstanding education in a comprehensive school setting and embraces the Trust motto 'Life in all its fullness', encouraging students to use their individual gifts wisely and well. Supported by the London Diocesan Board for Schools (LDBS), TCEAT operates on collaborative principles with some central services to achieve consistency of provision. The Trust has a highly evolved common curriculum running through years 7-13, which has been devised by staff within the four schools. It has thriving post-16 provision, including both A-Levels and T-Levels, and is heavily oversubscribed.
