About This Role:As a Specialist, Contract Support, you will play a pivotal role within our Global Procurement team, supporting Category Managers and stakeholders in evaluating, revising, and executing various contracts for purchasing goods and services. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all contracts align with our Global Procurement and Global Contract Review policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with Category Managers and stakeholders, managing supplier contracts throughout their lifecycle. You will maintain meticulous records of established contracts and those in progress within Biogen's contract repository. Your contributions will be crucial to upholding the integrity and efficiency of our procurement processes, directly impacting our business operations.
What You'll Do:- Perform independent contract reviews, including all terms and conditions, and identify deviations from standard language.
- Support and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with contract management policies and procedures.
- Maintain oversight of the request lifecycle, execute action points, and provide timely updates on contract status.
- Advise stakeholders on the company contracting process, explaining contract terms and making recommendations.
- Collaborate with internal business stakeholders, the Legal Department, and Subject Matter Experts on escalations.
- Develop internal knowledge resources, corporate tools, playbooks, processes, and guidelines.
- Provide training sessions for internal stakeholders on legal clauses, internal procedures, and best practices.

Your analytical skills and keen eye for detail enable you to navigate complex legal language with ease. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with various stakeholders to achieve common goals. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively ensures that all parties understand contract terms and conditions. You are proactive in developing resources and processes that enhance the efficiency of contract management.
Required Skills:- Bachelor's Degree in Law.
- 2+ years of post-graduation experience as a lawyer with exposure to international contracts under multiple jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:- Experience in procurement or contract management.
- Familiarity with data protection and trade compliance regulations.
