What You'll Do:
The Financial Accountant will manage the general accounting function in order to ensure accuracy and control and the smooth operation of the day-to-day functions of the General Accounting team in a fast-paced changing environment in support of country Accounting Manager and Business Partner requirements.
What We're Looking For:
Strong accounting skills - Preferably fully qualified accountant or at final stages of accounting qualification along with experience (ACCA, ACA)
- Previous experience in Financial/Accounting environment essential
- Good working knowledge of excel essential
- Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills - achieving deadlines is key in this area and this is a busy role.
- Proactive, enthusiastic attitude to work and committed to continuous process improvement
- Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.

What You'll Do:
The Financial Accountant will manage the general accounting function in order to ensure accuracy and control and the smooth operation of the day-to-day functions of the General Accounting team in a fast-paced changing environment in support of country Accounting Manager and Business Partner requirements.
- To assist & support the month end close schedule in line with previously set deadlines and to ensure the financial results are correctly and accurately reported.
- To maintain financial records in accordance with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practices)
- To enter journals into the Oracle financial system in line with accounting policy (journal entry requirements)
- To prepare documentation to support the financial statements audit both internally and externally in line with accounting policy AP1-02 (Balance sheet, statement of income and supporting documentation)
- To assist in the preparation for the finalization of the Financial Statement under SPGAAP and corporation tax accounts by ensuring that all information required to support the the FS and corporation tax return is gathered and documented within the set deadlines
- Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations in the official company format ensuring that any reconciling items/errors are identified and resolved as quickly as possible but no later then 90days.
- To assist the Genpact team in any queries relating to fixed assets.
- To assist the team GA team in any queries related to journals and/or reconciliations.
- To assist all Spain buyers with the PO process - creating, receiving etc.
- Prepare and submit surveys/reports for the Bank of Spain and other administrative regulators.
- Oversee end-to-end management of all notifications from regulatory authorities.
- Analysis/review of all p&l accounts as requested by management to support cost analysis, cost review and regular cost control tracking.
- Ability to resolve and respond to accounting queries received from internal customers/senior management in an efficient and timely manner thus ensuring service expectations are maintained / exceeded
- Any other ad-hoc requests from Management.
- To uphold and embody the Hertz Mission, Vision and Values in everyday dealings with Team Members and Customers, both Internal & External
What We're Looking For:
