Oxted School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Spanish Practitioner to join our thriving Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) department. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students and help them develop confidence, fluency, and a love of Spanish language and culture.

The Spanish curriculum at Oxted School is designed to foster a love of language learning, cultural awareness, and confident communication. It aims to provide all students, including those with SEND, with the opportunity to develop linguistic competence and intercultural understanding, preparing them for life in a global society.

We are seeking a teacher who can deliver consistently excellent lessons and is driven by the ambition to help students achieve the very highest outcomes - A and A* grades at A-Level, and 7-9 grades at GCSE.

Teachers in the department are encouraged to be innovative and reflective in their planning and delivery, using a wide range of up-to-date and relevant resources. Lessons are fully differentiated to ensure that students of all abilities are supported and challenged. We regularly review student groupings and progress to ensure that all students are on track to meet - and exceed - their targets. We are continually refining and developing our schemes of work to reflect the evolving nature of the subject and new specifications. Our faculty is friendly, supportive, and ambitious.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide inspirational leadership to the faculty and ensure excellence in teaching and learning.
• Develop and implement robust curriculum plans and enrichment activities.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing intervention strategies as needed.
• Lead and inspire professional development within the department.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across THPT schools to share best practices.
• Maintain open and effective communication with parents, carers, and feeder schools.
