About the roleAs a Spanish Teacher at Charterhouse Square, you will play a key role in delivering an ambitious, academically rigorous, and culturally rich languages provision. You will lead and teach high-quality Spanish lessons from Nursery to Year 6, igniting curiosity, confidence, and a genuine love of languages in every pupil. You will design and oversee a coherent, progressive Spanish curriculum that supports strong academic outcomes and prepares pupils for Senior School pathways, including 11+ and scholarship routes. Your role will also involve monitoring pupil progress, using assessment intelligently, and ensuring stretch, challenge, and targeted support where needed. Beyond the classroom, you will promote cultural awareness through trips, events, and cross-curricular opportunities, while contributing fully to the wider life of the school.

You can lead a department effectively, communicate clearly, and build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. You bring excellent organisational skills, high expectations, and a commitment to whole-school values. You are reflective, proactive, and enthusiastic about enriching school life through extracurricular activities. Ideally, you will hold a recognised teaching qualification and a good honours degree in Spanish, with the ability to model excellence in teaching and inspire a lifelong love of languages in young learners.
