Salary: MPR/UPR + Wellbeing Cash Plan + Pension Scheme (TPS) + Additional Benefits
Hours: Full Time
Contract type: Permanent
Start date: September 2026
An excellent education for every child, in every classroom, every day.
Lift Greenwood is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Spanish to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to inspire students and promote a love of languages and cultures.
At Lift Greenwood, we believe learning a foreign language broadens students' understanding of the world, builds confidence and communication skills, and opens doors to future opportunities.
Lift Greenwood is a forward-thinking secondary school within Lift Schools, an ambitious multi-academy trust of 59 schools, including 10 across the Midlands. Staff benefit from excellent professional development, strong support networks, and clear career progression opportunities.
Led by Principal Daniel Opoku, Lift Greenwood has a clear and ambitious vision to become one of the highest-performing schools in the country by 2030.
About the Role
The successful candidate will teach Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Students at KS3 build strong foundations in grammar, phonics and communication skills, whilst KS4 students follow the AQA GCSE curriculum, covering a range of real-world and cultural topics including relationships, healthy living, travel, festivals, technology and the environment.
We are looking for someone who:
You will be joining an experienced and forward-thinking Spanish team, led by an experienced Head of Spanish and supported by a Lead Practitioner. The department is actively engaged in developing trainee teachers and is committed to enriching students' experiences beyond the classroom, including the planned return of international trips to Spain.
What You'll Need to Succeed
You will have experience delivering a broad and balanced curriculum and creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported and motivated to achieve their full potential. You will be confident in planning and delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress effectively, and providing high-quality feedback that raises standards and outcomes.
You will also work collaboratively with teaching and pastoral staff, as well as parents, to support students' personal development, respond to individual needs, and promote a culture of inclusion, ambition, and high expectations.
Who is Lift Schools?
We're a diverse and inclusive network of schools with one clear mission; to provide an excellent education to every child - in every classroom, every day. And we do this across each of our 59 schools. As with our students, we want our team to be empowered to do their best work, supported by the best leadership they've ever had.
We acknowledge and appreciate the exceptional efforts of everyone here in making this an incredible organisation.
We offer you:
We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about delivering high-quality language education.
If you would like a confidential discussion before applying and/or a tour of the school, please contact Sue Britland, PA to the Principal, on sbritland@greenwoodacademy.org
Please don't wait until the closing date to apply; we will review and interview applications as we receive them.
Closing Date: 20th May 2026
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early should we receive an overwhelming response. All candidates are advised to refer to the job description and person specification before making an application.
