Are you organized, tech-savvy, and passionate about helping healthcare professionals run smoothly?
We're looking for a Medical Virtual Assistant who can provide remote administrative and technical support, helping medical teams stay efficient and focused on patient care. With your expertise in practice management software, you'll be a key part of keeping operations running seamlessly!
What You'll Do:
- Answer calls, respond to inquiries, and direct patients to the right healthcare staff
- Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring smooth calendar management
- Follow up with patients after appointments to assist with next steps and outstanding bills
- Keep patient records up to date with precision using EMR/EHR systems
- Handle correspondence, including emails, letters, and faxes, professionally and efficiently
- Offer general administrative support to the medical team as needed
- Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits before appointments and procedures
- Obtain pre-authorizations and referrals from insurance companies to ensure a smooth billing process
- Manage and process all patient referrals
- Support the medical biller by assisting with tasks like drafting appeal letters
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
- Proficient in English communication, both written and verbal, at a C1 level.
- Fluent in Spanish & English
- At least 2 years of experience in medical administration.
- Should have Dental experience doing prior authorization and insurance verification.
- Proficient in virtual office tools, and communication platforms
- Strong customer service and critical thinking skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of patient data confidentiality
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willing to work on Pacific Standard Time (PST) schedule (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM PST).
