About this Role
King's High School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Spanish Language Assistant to join our successful Modern Foreign Languages department.
Therole is part-time, term-timeonly, working3-4 days per week (flexible),for approximately 12 hours per week.
Thesuccessful candidate will be a fluent Spanish speaker with a passion forlanguage learning and an interest in working with young people. They willsupport pupils in developing their confidence and fluency in spoken Spanish,while helping to promote enthusiasm for Spanish language and culture across theschool.
Thisis an excellent opportunity for a native speaker or highly proficient Spanishlinguist who enjoys working in a vibrant academic environment and contributingto the life of a leading independent school.
Responsibleto: Head of Spanish.
TheModern Foreign Languages Department
ModernLanguages play an important role in the academic life of King's High School.Pupils study languages throughout the school, and many continue their studiesat IGCSE (Edexcel) and A Level (AQA).
Thedepartment offers a stimulating programme of language learning supported bycultural activities, clubs, trips and enrichment opportunities that encouragepupils to engage with the languages they study beyond the classroom.
Spanishis a popular subject, and the department aims to develop pupils' linguisticconfidence alongside a deeper understanding of Hispanic cultures.
Salary : The salary scale for this role is Point24 (FTE : £29,589 per annum) to 27(FTE : £32,549 per annum), actual salary equatesto £7,651 to £8,416 per annumrespectively.
