Accountant with Spanish GAAP

We are assisting a multinational igaming company with the recruitment of an accountant with demonstrated experience of working with both the Spanish GAAP and IFRS.

The role is to be based in Malta.

Role & Responsibilities

• All-round bookkeeping up to and including T/B for both Spanish GAAP and IFRS, ensuring compliance with relevant reporting standards
• Liaise with relevant authorities both in Malta and Spain
• Cashflow projections and management
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Present management accounts to the management group
• Budgeting and forecasting in liaison with management
• Optimizethe Company's financial strategy
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and recommend actions to management
• Oversee internal auditing processes
• Act point of contact for external auditors

Education, Skills & Experience

• ACCA or ICJCE or MIA member
• 5+ years experience of working as an accountant
• Experience of working in-house as an accountant
• Experience of working with both the Spanish GAAP and IFRS
• Fluent inEnglish and Spanish, written and spoken
• Ideally, previous experience from the igaming industry
• Professional integrity beyobdreproach
• Able to work well in a small team, where collaboration is key to success

About this role

• Mainly office-based in Ta 'Xbiex, Malta
• Full time with some flexibility
• Salary up to €40K depending on experience
