MedVA is seeking a Bilingual Medical Live Scribe to become an integral part of our healthcare support team. In this role, you will document patient interactions during live consultations, ensuring accurate and detailed records for healthcare providers.
Your expertise in medical terminology and ability to work in real-time will allow you to enhance the efficiency of the clinical workflow while improving patient care. This position requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as you will be working closely with providers to ensure compliance and clarity in documentation.
Responsibilities: - Document patient consultations and medical procedures in real time during live appointments.
- Review and prepare medical charts before and after the consultation
- Utilize various documentation formats as required by healthcare providers (e.g., SOAP notes).
- Capture detailed and accurate patient histories, examination findings, and treatment plans.
- Request clarifications for any unclear information to ensure comprehensive and precise documentation.
- Assist with follow-up tasks, including sending orders and managing communications between healthcare providers and patients.
- Verify prescriptions and initiate prior authorizations as necessary
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements - Bilingual in Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
- At least 6 months of experience as a medical or dental scribe for a US-based healthcare provider with a strong understanding of clinical workflows.
- Graduate of any allied 4-year medical course (RN is a plus).
- Exceptional typing skills with a minimum speed of 60 WPM.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, documentation practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical software. (eClincialWorks preferred)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Intermediate skills with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
