Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Virtual Lawyer with experience in US law to join our team. As a Virtual Lawyer for US Law and Clients, you will be responsible for providing legal support and advice to our US-based clients. This is a remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities - Legal Consultation: Provide comprehensive legal consultation to US-based clients on various legal issues, including but not limited to business law, immigration law, family law, real estate law, and civil litigation.
- Legal Research: Conduct in-depth legal research to analyze statutes, regulations, case law, and legal precedents relevant to client cases and legal inquiries.
- Document Drafting and Review: Prepare legal documents such as contracts, agreements, pleadings, motions, and other legal instruments. Review and edit legal documents drafted by other team members or external parties to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Client Representation: Represent clients in legal proceedings, including negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, administrative hearings, and court trials, as required.
- Case Management: Manage a caseload efficiently, ensuring timely communication with clients, adherence to deadlines, and proper documentation of case progress.
- Legal Compliance: Stay updated on changes in US laws, regulations, and legal trends to ensure compliance and provide proactive legal advice to clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with US-based clients, understanding their legal needs and providing personalized legal solutions.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other team members, including attorneys, paralegals, and support staff, to deliver high-quality legal services and achieve client objectives.
- Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive client information and legal matters.
Requirements - Admission to practice law in the Philippines
- Fluency in both Spanish and English (written and spoken) is mandatory
- Relevant working experience practicing law, focusing on US law
- Strong knowledge of US legal principles, procedures, and terminology
- Sound knowledge of civil law procedures, particularly personal injury law.
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software
- Detail-oriented with a strong attention to accuracy
- High level of professionalism and ethical conduct
- Willingness to work remotely in the Philippines while observing US work hours
