A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Buyer, you will efficiently be executing operational purchasing processes. The Buyer purchases goods, materials, and services to ensure that the operational needs are met (considering price, quality, on-time delivery) as well as continuity of supply. Processes incoming customer requests (workflow transactions, purchase requisitions, email requests, etc.) ensuring agreed cycle time and quality standards while maintaining high customer/user satisfaction.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including purchase order management, supplier invoicing, and maintaining material and supplier master data
  • Oversee reporting and declarations (e.g., plastic, packaging, gas) while ensuring timely follow-up on orders until delivery to the final destination, regardless of transport scope
  • Purchase order management, including tracking/expediting to ensure a cost-efficient supply of materials in accordance with demand
  • Ensures items are delivered on time and expedited where necessary
  • Communicates with suppliers concerning order-related items, such as delivery dates, and escalates risks to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitors supplier delivery and quality performance. Escalates findings to relevant stakeholders and addresses performance issues with suppliers as necessary
  • Maintains and updates supplier master data to ensure that the database accurate and up-to-date
  • Negotiates prices and payment terms (low-threshold transactions)
  • Demonstrates strong customer focus by handling requests in a timely manner with high quality standards
  • Communicates efficiently and professionally with internal and external stakeholders
  • Actively seeks process optimization and improvement opportunities in relevant areas (e.g. MoQ optimization, bundling of purchase orders, etc.)

What You Bring

  • Relevant experience in procurement, engineering, and/or operations, manufacturing functions
  • University degree preferably in fields such as business administration, finance, supply chain, technical, economics or any other related field
  • English language - advanced level
  • Spanish language - advanced level
  • Intercultural mindset and adapting to country-specific particularities
  • Communication and problem-solving skills
  • Negation skills and analytical approach
  • Responsibility / accountability and adaptability / flexibility
