Position Summary:
As a FedEx Clearance Broker you will work closely with Customs to enable our on-time clearance and delivery. You will ensure checks and processes are completed that result in timely and effective processing of transactions and legal and regulatory compliance. You will work within tight time deadlines in a busy office environment.
Key responsibilities:- Review shipment data to identify the exact Customer and regulatory requirements, together with the accuracy and completeness of documentation supplied.
- Use in house systems to create timely, accurate and legally compliant clearance declarations.
- Conduct professional calls with customers or government agencies to obtain clarifications when needed.
- Take ownership of routine Customer and Customs disputes, taking the actions needed to provide the required and timely resolution.
- Establish and maintain effective Customer relationships by highlighting opportunities for customized or alternative services.
The ideal candidate will have:- Fluent in English (B2 - C1) and Spanish (B2-C1)
- Team player with a can-do attitude.
- Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines.
- Task orientated with good time management.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to make independent decisions based on expertise.
- Good Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Willing to develop in a multinational/multicultural environment
