About the role

The Coordinator - Accounts Payable is responsible for a specific task/tasks within a specific process and/or in scope countries. You will be responsible in providing first level of support for resolving issues. As a main requirement for this role, we are seeking a candidate who possesses at least a basic knowledge or conversational proficiency in the Spanish language

What you will be doing

People Leadership
  • Assisting the Supervisor in Process/Peer Coaching, identifying/implementing process training within the Workstreams.
  • Support implementation of GBS strategies.


Process Leadership
  • Support process improvement projects.
  • Set up and ensure accurate and up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures for all processes
  • Ensure compliance to internal control standards.
  • Support incoming transitions by ensuring successful integration of processes into current operations.


Operations
  • Ensure that all KPIs are met
  • Support in providing accurate internal and external operational performance reporting to include issues/escalations and KPIs of specific team/process/substream.
  • Process invoices for vendors, taxes and employee expenses
  • Respond to AP inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Perform Payment Processing (Offcycle and Weekly Payment Run) - Add
  • Perform Monthly Vendor Reconciliation
  • Perform Monthly Account Reconciliation on AP Related GLs.
  • Perform daily bank/cash clearing & investigation
  • Prepare short-term liquidity planning (Cash Forecast)
  • Coordinate approvals required for invoice processing and expense reimbursements
  • Research and resolve exceptions and issues
  • Perform audit of invoices (delete)
  • Perform huddle meeting within the team
  • Prepare and send daily productivity and status report.
  • Prepare workload allocation
  • Carrying out other duties of Accounts Payable as assigned by the Supervisor or Officer
  • Ensure stakeholder needs against agreed SLAs are met.


Ad Hoc Duties
  • Act as back up for Officer or Supervisor for follow-up meetings and reporting with GBS and Orica Management, regardless of the Region.
  • Act as a peer back-up for meetings, reporting and day to day activities.


What you will bring

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Finance/Accounting experience in a large corporate setting
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal policies
  • Proficiency in ERP and other accounting tools
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
  • Diligent, accurate, and accountable, with strong critical thinking skills
  • Initiative-driven, well-organized, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong collaborator, able to contribute to the development and operation of workstream
  • Good interpersonal and people management skills
  • Experience in financial process improvement initiatives preferred
  • Basic knowledge or conversational proficiency in Spanish is required.
