Educational Assistant (Spanish Language, Full-time) - King George V School

Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding Spanish Language Educational Assistant who can make a significant impact by helping students develop their Spanish fluency and contribute to the Spanish department at King George V School.

Responsibilities

• Support all students in developing their Spanish proficiency in line with the Spanish curriculum.
• Prepare students for the oral components of public examinations such as IGCSE and International Baccalaureate (IB) by practising speaking, pronunciation, and intonation.
• Support the department by taking on practical roles of responsibility for administrative, managerial and auditing activities, when necessary.
• Join and work cohesively within a highly motivated and professional group of teachers.
• Work collaboratively with teachers.
• Monitor students ' responses to learning tasks through a range of assessment activities, providing feedback to teachers
• Attend team and staff meetings as requested.

Requirements

• Native or near native Spanish speaker.
• Fluent in English.
• Working experience with children and ICT skills is essential.
• Formal teaching qualifications are an advantage.
• Sufficient knowledge, expertise, and awareness of students' social, emotional, and learning needs to work effectively with teachers as part of a professional team
• Familiar with IGCSE/IB exam requirements (although not essential)
