As a Spanish Content Specialist at Ferryscanner, you will be responsible for producing compelling and informative content for our website, blog posts, newsletters, and various marketing materials. Your words will play a crucial role in inspiring and guiding our audience to discover their ideal ferry journeys.
Responsibilities - Create engaging and persuasive copy in Spanish for Ferryscanner's website, blog, newsletters, social media, and other marketing channels
- Research ferry destinations, routes, and related travel topics to generate unique and relevant content
- Collaborate with the rest of the marketing team to develop content strategies that align with our brand voice and objectives
- Write clear and concise destination descriptions, landing page copy, and promotional materials
- Use SEO best practices to optimize Spanish-language content, including keyword research, meta descriptions, and link-building strategies, while collaborating with SEO specialists to improve search visibility and drive organic traffic from Spanish-language content.
- Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines
- Stay updated on industry trends, travel news, and ferry-related developments to provide up-to-date and valuable information to our audience
- Assist in localizing content from English to Spanish and vice versa, maintaining a high level of accuracy and cultural relevance
Qualifications and key competencies - Native Spanish speaker with excellent writing and editing skills is a must
- Proven experience as a copywriter, content creator, or similar role is a must (preferably in the travel or hospitality industry)
- A portfolio of previous work demonstrating your ability to craft compelling content would be great
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices and ability to implement them in Spanish content
- Familiarity with SEO tools like Ahrefs, Google Analytics, Google Search Console etc.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS)
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- A keen eye for detail and exceptional proofreading and editing abilities
- Creativity and strong research skills
