Job Summary:Our is seeking an experienced and dynamic
Secondary Spanish Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Spanish within an
IB (International Baccalaureate) and Cambridge A-Level curriculum. A
native Spanish speaker or an educator with near-native fluency is preferred. The teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that foster fluency, cultural appreciation, and academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver high-quality Spanish lessons aligned with the IB curriculum and Cambridge A-Level syllabus for secondary school students.
- Use inquiry-based learning approaches to develop students' critical thinking, communication, and research skills.
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing detailed feedback to support their learning journey.
- Integrate Spanish culture, history, and literature into lessons to provide a well-rounded linguistic experience.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, ensuring an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Utilize modern teaching methodologies and technology to enhance language acquisition and student engagement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
- Participate in extracurricular activities, such as Spanish clubs, cultural events, and language competitions.
- Contribute to the school's IB philosophy and international-mindedness by promoting intercultural understanding and respect.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field.
- Teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, IB Certification, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience teaching Spanish at the secondary school level within an IB or Cambridge A-Level curriculum.
- Native Spanish speaker preferred or near-native fluency.
- Experience with IB assessment criteria and Cambridge exam preparation is an advantage.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
