Spanish teacher- Excellent school in Enfield- September start

In this role, you will have the responsibility of delivering high-quality Spanish lessons to students at Secondary levels. The school prioritizes a student-centred approach to teaching and strives to create an inclusive and supportive environment. As a member of the vibrant language department, you'll have the chance to collaborate with a team of dedicated educators in contributing to the holistic development of the students.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Spanish lessons to students, ensuring that they are tailored to the needs and abilities of the students.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning and appreciation of the Spanish language and culture.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to develop cross-curricular initiatives and incorporate real-life experiences into lessons.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences to ensure clear communication and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behaviour, and any additional support requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field with a focus on Spanish language education.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience teaching Spanish to students of varying ages and abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively plan and deliver lessons.
  • A passion for language education and a creative approach to teaching.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and experience in delivering curriculum-based assessments.
  • Ability to implement inclusive teaching strategies that cater to students with diverse learning needs.
