About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of Spanish speakers in a dynamic international setting. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Spanish lessons across the curriculum, catering to a mixture of grade levels.
Key Responsibilities: - Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging Spanish lessons, fostering a love of the language and Hispanic cultures in students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students develop their fluency, grammar, and communication skills in Spanish.
- Incorporate real-world applications and cultural aspects into lessons to enhance student engagement.
- Prepare students for any relevant external examinations (if applicable).
- Assessment and Progress:
- Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure students achieve their learning goals.
- Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to inform teaching and learning.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Languages department to ensure a cohesive and effective curriculum.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Spanish program within the school.
The Ideal Candidate: - A qualified Spanish Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience.
- A strong passion for the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement.
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to keep up-to-date with current language teaching methodologies.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons.
